諱玄朗。初名光胤。曰匡胤。西京洛陽人。趙姓。仕周至歸德軍節度使殿前都點簡。受周禪。年三十四歲。即皇帝位。以二月十六日為長春節。在位十六年。壽終五十歲。帝屢造佛寺。每歲度僧八千人（繫年錄）。繫年錄者（上天竺寺講經首座慧鑒之所編也）　建隆（三）乾德（五）開寶（八）。

Personal name Xuanlang; initially named Guangyin; called Kuangyin. A native of Luoyang in the Western Capital. Surnamed Zhao. Served the Zhou as Military Commissioner of the Guide Army and Palace Chief Inspector. Received the abdication of the Zhou. At age thirty-four, he ascended the imperial throne. He designated the sixteenth day of the second month as the Changchun Festival. He reigned for sixteen years and died at age fifty. The Emperor repeatedly constructed Buddhist monasteries, ordaining eight thousand monks each year (Xinian lu). As for the Xinian lu (it was compiled by Huijian, head monk lecturer on the scriptures at Upper Tianzhu Monastery). Jianlong (3), Qiande (5), Kaibao (8).
