義通法師　傳天台教。是年十月十八日入寂於明州寶雲院。通本高麗王種。初出家傳華嚴起信有聲。石晉天福中渡海來謁螺溪羲寂。頓悟開顯十法界圓融之旨。嗣法流通。逾二紀得知禮遵式高弟。益大其傳（塔記）。

Dharma Master Yitong transmitted the Tiantai teaching. On the eighteenth day of the tenth month of this year, he entered quiescence at Baoyun Cloister in Mingzhou. Tong was originally of the royal lineage of Goryeo. When he first went forth from the household, he became renowned for transmitting the Huayan and the Awakening of Faith. During the Tianfu era of the Later Jin, he crossed the sea to visit Xiji of Luoxi, suddenly awakening to and revealing the import of the perfect interfusion of the ten dharma realms. He succeeded to the Dharma and propagated it; over two decades later, he obtained eminent disciples like Zhili and Zunshi, further magnifying his transmission (stūpa inscription).
