On the seventeenth day of the seventh month in autumn, Great Master Haiyue Huibian of Lingshan Monastery on Mount Tianzhu rose in the morning, washed and purified himself, took leave of the assembly, sat in the lotus posture, and passed into stillness. Vice Prefect Su Shi of Hangzhou mourned him with three poems, providing a preface and eulogy. Succeeding Bian was Great Master Huijing Siyi. Yi had four disciples: Dexian, Zhongyuan, Yongzhan, and Huiri, who all successively presided over the Dharma. Yuan's disciple was named Great Master Ciming Huiguan, who in turn succeeded Master Ri as abbot. Guan collected the poems and writings of Master Ciyun of the Repentance Ritual into the three collections: Lingyuan, Jinyuan, and Tianzhu (Tianzhu shiji).
