In the intercalary eighth month of the Song, on the dingyou day, the Emperor passed away in Funing Palace at the age of fifty-seven. Empress Yang and Shi Miyuan established Guicheng as imperial son, promoted his title to Duke of Chengguo, and enthroned him as Emperor; his name was changed to Yun. The Empress was honored as Empress Dowager and attended to state affairs from behind the curtain. The Crown Prince Hong was deposed and demoted to Prince of Jiyang Commandery, then sent out to oversee Ningguo Prefecture, where he was murdered (Continuation of the Comprehensive Mirror of the Song).
