辛丑大德五年八月。有星孛出東井。歷紫微垣天市垣。四十六日滅　十月有星大如盃。光燭地自北起分二星。沒於危宿。

In the eighth month of the fifth year of the Dade era, a xinchou year, a comet appeared in Dongjing, passed through the Purple Forbidden Enclosure and the Celestial Market Enclosure, and disappeared after forty-six days. In the tenth month, there was a star as large as a cup; its light illuminated the ground, rising from the north and splitting into two stars, which disappeared in the Wei lunar mansion.
