辛巳至正元年。帝閱宋徽宗畫稱善。學士[山*(卄/(止*白*匕)/ㄆ)][山*(卄/(止*白*匕)/ㄆ)]進曰。徽宗多能惟一事不能。其身辱國破。皆由不能為君所致。人主貴能為君。

In the xin-si year, the first year of Zhizheng (1341 CE), the Emperor inspected paintings by Emperor Huizong of Song and praised their excellence. Academician Jiji stepped forward and said: 'Huizong possessed many abilities, but was incapable of only one thing: his personal humiliation and the ruin of his state were entirely caused by his inability to be a sovereign. What is prized in a ruler of men is the ability to be a sovereign.'
