壬申至元九年　宋咸淳八年　宋少傅葉夢鼎辭歸秦。願勵精寡欲收人心固邦本。又云。廉恥事大。死生事小。扁舟徑返。

Renshen, the ninth year of Zhiyuan; the eighth year of Xianchun of the Song: Song Junior Tutor Ye Mengding resigned and returned to Qin, wishing to apply himself diligently, lessen desires, win the hearts of the people, and strengthen the foundation of the state. He also said, "Integrity and a sense of shame are great matters; life and death are small matters." He then returned straight away in a small boat.
