如意禪師　諱祥邁。博通內外典章。洞徹淵微理致。住持名都巨剎。應旨撰辨偽錄五卷。制伏允愜有弘傳序註。載法華要解。

Chan Master Ruyi, whose taboo name was Xiangmai, was widely versed in internal and external canons and thoroughly penetrated profound and subtle principles. He was abbot of prominent monasteries in famous capitals. Responding to the imperial decree, he compiled the Bianwei lu in five fascicles, which appropriately subdued [the opponents], with a preface and notes propagating it widely, recorded in the Fahua yaojie.
