元世　熙朝兩代事蹟。纘承其後。庶見古今上下之道脈。連持世與出世之宗猷。踵接擬茲續貂之尾。蓋不欲為最後斷佛種之人。繪空摹影。以俟來哲觀感興起。聯輝續焰。以無窮焉耳。

The events of the two dynasties, the Yuan period and our Bright Dynasty, were continued thereafter. This will allow the lineage of the Dao throughout ancient and modern times, above and below, to be seen, maintaining the fundamental policies of the mundane and supramundane in unbroken continuity. Drawing this comparison to continuing a sable coat with a dog's tail, it is simply because I do not wish to be the last person to cut off the seed of Buddhahood. I have painted empty space and sketched shadows to await future philosophers to view, feel inspired, and arise, linking brilliances and continuing the flame endlessly.
