一僧寺庵院。一切高明之人。本欲與僧扳話。顯揚佛教。奈何僧多不才。其人方與和狎。其僧便起求施之心。為此人遠不近（文長不錄）。

"First, in Buddhist monasteries, cloisters, and hermitages, all people of high insight originally wished to converse with monks to make known and exalt the Buddhist teaching. Alas, many monks are devoid of talent; as soon as a person becomes friendly with them, the monk immediately conceives a desire to seek donations. Because of this, people keep their distance and do not approach them (the text is lengthy and not recorded here)."
