四月。上不豫。閏五月十日崩。壽七十有一。是月十六日葬於孝陵。上尊諡曰。聖神文武欽明啟運俊德成功統天大孝高皇帝廟。號太祖。

In the fourth month, the Emperor was unwell. On the tenth day of the intercalary fifth month, he passed away at the age of seventy-one. On the sixteenth day of this month, he was buried at Xiaoling Mausoleum. He was posthumously honored with the posthumous title Emperor Gaohuangdi of Great Filial Piety, Sage and Divine, Civil and Martial, Reverently Enlightened, Initiating the Mandate, with Outstanding Virtue and Successful Achievements, Unifying Heaven. His temple name was Taizu.
