南堂禪師　諱清欲。字了菴。南堂其號也。姓朱氏。台之臨海人。住及開福本覺靈巖三剎。有三會語錄。行世。

Chan Master Nantang, taboo name Qingyu, courtesy name Liao'an, Nantang being his art name, had the surname Zhu. He was a native of Linhai in Taizhou. He presided over the three monasteries of Kaifu, Benjue, and Lingyan. Recorded Sayings in Three Assemblies circulates in the world.
