辛巳建文三年。燕兵敗於東昌。初靖難兵起。道衍曰。師行必克。但費兩日耳。及至此曰。前固已言。兩日乃昌字也。自此全勝矣　二月文皇。令僧修佛會。祭陣亡將士張玉等。自為文祭之　三月。詔逐齊泰黃子澄於外。責以付託不效。藉其家以謝燕人。

In the xisi year, the third year of Jianwen [1401], the Yan troops were defeated at Dongchang. Earlier, when the Pacifying the Distress troops arose, Daoyan had said, 'When the army sets out, it will surely conquer; it will only take two suns [days].' When it reached this point, he said, 'I had already said before that two suns [日] make the character chang [昌]. From this point on, there will be complete victory.' In the second month, Emperor Wen ordered monks to conduct a Buddhist service to offer sacrifices for fallen soldiers such as Zhang Yu, personally composing the sacrificial address. In the third month, an edict banished Qi Tai and Huang Zicheng to the provinces, reprimanding them for failing in the trust reposed in them, and confiscating their estates to placate the people of Yan.
