常山蛇陣　鄭林操練團營軍士。言常山之蛇。擊首則尾應。擊尾則首應。擊中則首尾俱應者也　八陣天地風雲龍虎鳥蛇也。

The Changshan Snake Array: Zheng Lin trained the soldiers of the integrated training camps, saying that like the snake of Mount Chang, when its head was struck, its tail responded; when its tail was struck, its head responded; and when its middle was struck, both head and tail responded together. The Eight Formations are Heaven, Earth, Wind, Cloud, Dragon, Tiger, Bird, and Snake.
