夢居禪師　住金陵碧峯山。乃玉芝得法之師。其接玉芝之際。即其二偈叱曰。非非。芝曰。云何非非。居曰。子不非非恁人非非。梁皇達磨兩不見機。何勞折葦。又遣人追。古之今之。落人圈繢。芝曰。如何得不落人圈繢。居打一掌曰。是落也是不落也。芝即禮拜。

Chan Master Mengju: resided at Mount Bifeng in Jinling. He was the master from whom Yuzhi received the Dharma. When receiving Yuzhi, upon seeing his two verses, he shouted: "Wrong, wrong!" Zhi said: "Why is it wrong, wrong?" Ju said: "You do not see it is wrong, yet you let others be wrong! Emperor Wu of Liang and Bodhidharma both failed to recognize the opportunity. Why labor to snap a reed, and then send people to pursue him? Both in ancient times and today, they fall into people's snares." Zhi said: "How can one not fall into people's snares?" Ju struck him with a slap and said: "Is this falling into it, or not falling into it?" Zhi immediately bowed.
