佛法金湯編　諱真居士。赤水屠隆撰。發明聖教淵微之理。品題當世師友之英。金城湯池為外護嚴矣。

The *Fofa jintang bian* (Compilation of the Metal and Moat of the Buddha-Dharma): Composed by the lay practitioner Weizhen, Tu Long of Chishui. It illuminates the profound and subtle principles of the holy teaching, and critiques the excellence of teachers and friends of the present age. It serves strictly as an external defense, like a city of metal and a moat of boiling water.
