神宗長子。貴妃王氏所生。萬曆壬午年生。辛丑年十月十日。冊立為皇太子。至是神宗崩。以八月朔即皇帝位。在位一月。建元泰昌。壽三十九年。上尊號曰。崇天契道英睿恭純憲文景武淵仁懿孝貞皇帝。廟號光宗。葬慶陵。

The eldest son of Shenzong, born of Noble Consort Wang. He was born in the renwu year of Wanli. On the tenth day of the tenth month of the xinchou year, he was invested as Crown Prince. At this point, Shenzong died, and on the first day of the eighth month he ascended the imperial throne. He was on the throne for one month, establishing the reign era Taichang. His age was thirty-nine. His posthumous title was Emperor Chongtian Qidao Yingrui Gongchun Xianwen Jingwu Yuanren Yixiao Zhen. His temple name was Guangzong. He was buried in Qingling.
