丁卯七年　黃檗無念。諱深有。號西影。參大休等。末後偈曰。四十餘年不住功。窮來窮去轉無踪。而今窮到無依處。始悟從前錯用功。天啟七年七月二十日歿。有書錄行世　共一百五十人。

In the seventh year, dingmao: Huangbo Wunian; his taboo name was Shenyou, and his sobriquet was Xiying. He consulted Daxiu and others. His final verse said: 'For more than forty years without ceasing effort, / Probing and probing, turning into nothing with no trace. / Now probing until there is no place of reliance, / Only then do I realise that formerly I applied effort in error.' He died on the twentieth day of the seventh month in the seventh year of Tianqi. He had written records circulating in the world. Altogether one hundred and fifty people.
