乙卯十年正月三日。上崩乾清宮。初十日太子即位。大赦天下　蹇義沈靜和厚。歷事五朝。年七十三卒。贈太師。諡忠定。

In the yimao tenth year, on the third day of the first month, the Emperor passed away in the Qianqing Palace. On the tenth day, the Crown Prince ascended the throne and proclaimed a great amnesty throughout the realm. Jian Yi, calm, gentle, and generous, served through five reigns. He died at the age of seventy-three, was posthumously awarded the title Grand Preceptor, and was given the posthumous name Zhongding.
