佛告諸比丘。過去九十一劫時。世有佛名毘婆尸如來至真。出現于世。復次過去三十一劫。有佛名尸棄如來至真。出現於世。復於彼三十一劫中。有佛名毘舍婆如來至真。出現於世。復次此賢劫中。有佛名拘樓孫。又名拘那含。又名迦葉。我今亦於賢劫中。成最正覺。

The Buddha told the monks: 'In the past, ninety-one eons ago, there was a Buddha in the world named Vipaśyin Tathāgata, Arhat, who appeared in the world. Next, in the past, thirty-one eons ago, there was a Buddha named Śikhin Tathāgata, Arhat, who appeared in the world. Again, within those thirty-one eons, there was a Buddha named Viśvabhū Tathāgata, Arhat, who appeared in the world. Next, in this Bhadrakalpa, there was a Buddha named Krakucchanda, another named Kanakamuni, and another named Kāśyapa. I now, also in the Bhadrakalpa, have realized supreme, complete awakening.
