爾時菩薩見諸天子悲泣懊惱。又復聞說戀慕之偈。即以慈音而告之曰。善男子凡人受生無不死者。恩愛合會必有別離。上至阿迦膩吒天。下至阿鼻地獄。其中一切諸眾生等。無有不為無常大火之所煎炙。是故汝等不應於我獨生戀慕。我今與汝皆悉未離生死熾火。乃至一切貧富貴賤。皆不免脫。於是菩薩即說偈言。

At that time, seeing the devaputras weeping and distressed, and having also heard them speak the verse of longing, the bodhisattva addressed them with a voice of compassion, saying: 'Good sons, all mortals who receive birth must die; where there is meeting in love and affection, there must be separation. Up to the Akaniṣṭha Heaven and down to the Avīci Hell, among all the sentient beings therein, none are not roasted and scorched by the great fire of impermanence. Therefore, you should not give rise to longing for me alone. At present, neither I nor you have left behind the raging fire of birth and death, and even all the poor, the rich, the noble, and the base do not escape it.' Thereupon the bodhisattva spoke a verse, saying:
