瑞應本起云。菩薩初下化乘白象。冠日之精。修行本起云。夫人夢空中有乘白象光明照天下。詣無憂樹。
The Ruiying benqi jing says: 'When the Bodhisattva first descended, he transformed and rode a white elephant, crowned with the essence of the sun.' The Xiuxing benqi jing says: 'The Queen dreamed that in the sky there was one riding a white elephant, whose radiance illuminated all under heaven, arriving at the aśoka tree.'
