祐以為雙樹八枝義各有明。舍利八分緣亦有會。故蛻化之體或全或散。用能留瑞群剎。降福人天。夫不生而假胎。無形而委骨。其示跡垂教。即不思議之事也。

Sengyou considers: The eight branches of the twin trees each have their clear significance, and the eight shares of the relics likewise had their karmic convergence. Thus the transformed body, whether kept intact or dispersed, was able to leave auspicious relics to all lands and bestow blessings on humans and devas. Not being born, he yet took a womb; having no form, he yet left behind bones. His manifesting traces and bequeathing teachings are indeed unfathomable matters.
