經云。王時聞仙決定說已。慮恐出家選五百青衣。為依乳母種種供奉。起三時殿七寶莊嚴。城門開閉聞四十里。五百婇女宿衛殿宇。花果池鳥不可稱計。爾時姨母乳養太子。年漸長大王作寶冠瓔珞玩好之具。無不給與。舉國仁惠安樂難言。

The sūtra states: When the king heard the ṛṣi speak with certainty, he feared that he would leave household life, so he selected five hundred young maidservants to serve as wet nurses and provide various offerings. He erected three seasonal palaces adorned with the seven treasures. The opening and closing of the city gates could be heard for forty li. Five hundred court ladies kept watch over the halls and chambers. The flowers, fruits, ponds, and birds were beyond count. At that time, his maternal aunt nursed and raised the prince. As he grew older, the king made precious crowns, necklaces, and playthings, leaving nothing unprovided. Throughout the whole country, benevolence and peace were beyond description.
