經云。時王會議應立太子。以二月八日具物盛四大海水。諸仙諸人各各頂戴已。授與父王便灌太子頂。以寶印付之。擊鼓宣令言。今立薩婆悉達以為太子。空天八部同聲讚言善哉。諸八國王所生太子。亦同時立。

The sūtra says: At that time, the king held a council and decided that the Prince should be installed. On the eighth day of the second month, having prepared the ritual items and filled [vessels] with water from the four great oceans, all the ṛṣis and people each bore them upon their heads and then presented them to the father king, who then anointed the crown of the Prince's head and conferred upon him the jeweled seal. They beat drums and proclaimed the decree, saying, “We now install Sarvārthasiddha as Crown Prince.” The devas of the sky and the eight classes [of beings] raised their voices in unison to praise him, saying, “Excellent!” The princes born to the kings of the eight kingdoms were also installed at the same time.
