經云。爾時菩薩以慈善力。二月七日夜降魔放光。入定觀法。即得三明六通具足。遍觀三界三世諸事。皆知名色是諸惡因。受行八正眾苦便滅。菩薩自知已除三毒。生死根本。所作已成智慧明了。明星出時霍然大悟得成正覺。得十八法十種神力四無所畏。于時大地十八相動。天降瑞雲雨甘露。又雨天花。天鼓自鳴繞菩提樹。滿三十六由旬。八部充溢。諸天具樂幢幡無量。一切眾生皆相慈愛。五淨居天并五通仙。及餘苦趣咸大歡喜。

The sūtra says: At that time the Bodhisattva, by the power of his loving-kindness, subdued Māra and emitted radiance on the night of the seventh day of the second month. Entering meditative concentration, he contemplated phenomena, immediately perfecting the three knowledges and the six supernatural powers. He looked thoroughly upon all affairs of the three realms and the three times, and knew that name-and-form are the cause of all evils, and that by practicing the noble eightfold path, all sufferings are extinguished. The Bodhisattva knew for himself that he had eradicated the three poisons, the root of birth and death; what was to be done had been completed, and his wisdom was luminous and clear. When the morning star appeared, he suddenly had the great awakening and attained correct enlightenment. He obtained the eighteen unshared dharmas, the ten powers, and the four grounds of fearlessness. At that time the great earth shook in eighteen manners. The heavens showered auspicious clouds and rained down ambrosia, and also rained heavenly flowers. Heavenly drums sounded spontaneously, encircling the Bodhi tree for a full thirty-six yojanas. The eight classes [of beings] brimmed over, the devas played music, and streamers and banners were immeasurable. All sentient beings loved one another with compassion; the five Śuddhāvāsa Heavens, the five-supernatural-powers rṣis, and those in the other realms of suffering all rejoiced greatly.
