經云。地神見陳如得道已。高聲唱言。如來出世轉妙法輪。空天又唱乃至阿迦膩吒。天地十八相動。天龍八部作樂讚歎。世界大明。次為四人重說四諦。亦離塵垢得法眼淨。

The sūtra says: When the earth spirit saw that Kauṇḍinya had attained the Way, he proclaimed with a loud voice, 'The Tathāgata has appeared in the world and turned the wondrous wheel of the Dharma!' The space-dwelling devas proclaimed it in turn, all the way up to Akaniṣṭha. The earth shook in eighteen manners. The devas, nāgas, and the eight classes [of beings] played music and praised him, and the world became brightly illuminated. He then preached the Four Truths again for the [other] four men, who likewise parted from dust and defilement and attained the purity of the Dharma-eye.
