經云。時彼五人。既見道跡欲求出家。世尊喚言善來比丘。鬚髮自墮即成沙門。重說五陰解成羅漢。世間有六佛是佛寶。四諦法寶。五人僧寶。是世間三寶。具足天人第一福田。

The sūtra says: At that time, when those five men saw the traces of the Way, they sought renunciation. The World-Honoured One called to them, 'Welcome, bhikṣus!' Their hair and beards fell out spontaneously, and they immediately became śramaṇas. He preached the five aggregates once more, and their understanding made them arhats. In the world there were six: the Buddha was the Buddha Jewel; the Four Truths were the Dharma Jewel; the five men were the Saṅgha Jewel. These are the Triple Jewel in the world, the complete and supreme field of merit for devas and humans.
