怪哉無常　甚可憂畏　能滅如是
功德寶聚　世尊此身　清淨無垢
今在金棺　以千㲲纏　香油流灌
然栴檀薪　微妙勝身　為何所在

How terrible is impermanence! / Truly to be feared and dreaded!
It can extinguish such / a treasure-heap of merit!
This body of the World-Honored One, / pure and free from defilement,
now in a golden coffin, / wrapped in a thousand layers of fine cotton,
poured over with fragrant oil, / burning on sandalwood fuel—
where now is / that subtle, wondrous, supreme body?
