2.13

常著商那衣　成就五支禪
山巖空谷間　坐禪而念定
風寒諸勤苦　悉能忍受之
心善得解脫　智慧自莊嚴
猶如空野象　坦然無憂患

He constantly wore robes of śāṇa,
and perfected the dhyāna of five branches.
Amid mountain crags and empty valleys,
he sat in dhyāna, recollecting in meditative absorption.
Wind, cold, and all manner of hardships—
he was fully able to endure them all.
His mind was well liberated,
and he adorned himself with wisdom,
just like an elephant in the wilderness,
composed and free from anxiety.
