10.75

贊曰：土資水澤，金由火煎。強梁扈化，假見威權。澄照襄土，開導蓄川。惠茲兩葉，綏彼四邊。如不繄賴，民命何全？

The panegyric states:
Earth relies on water's moisture; / metal is refined by fire.
The stubborn and unruly oppose transformation, / so spiritual authority is temporarily displayed.
Fotudeng illuminated the lands of Xiang, / guiding and opening the reservoir of Sichuan.
Gracing these two eras, / pacifying those four frontiers.
Had they not relied upon him, / how could the people's lives be preserved?
