釋法安，一名慈欽，未詳何許人，遠公之弟子也。善戒行，講說眾經，兼習禪業，善能開化愚曚，拔邪歸正。

Shi Fa'an, also named Ciqin, whose origins are unknown, was a disciple of the Venerable Yuan. He was skilled in precept conduct, lectured on the scriptures, and concurrently practiced dhyāna, excelling in opening the minds of the ignorant and rescuing people from error to return to the correct path.
