6.82

遺民乃致書肇曰：「頃飡徽問，有懷遙仰，歲末寒嚴，體中何如？音寄壅隔，增用悒蘊。弟子沈痾草澤，常有弊瘁，願彼大眾康和，外國法師休悆不？去年夏末，見上人〈波若無知論〉，才運清俊，旨中沈允。推步聖文，婉然有歸，披味慇懃，不能釋手，真可謂浴心方等之淵，悟懷絕冥之肆，窮盡精巧，無所間然。但闇者難曉，猶有餘疑，今輒條之如左，願從容之暇，粗為釋之。」

Yimin then sent a letter to Sengzhao, saying: 'Recently I received your esteemed news, and I long for you from afar. In this severe cold at the end of the year, how is your bodily health? As communications are blocked and separated, my inner sorrow increases. This disciple is stricken with lingering illness in the grassy marshes, constantly exhausted and suffering. I trust the great assembly there is harmonious and well, and that the foreign Dharma master is in good health? At the end of summer last year, I saw the Venerable's Treatise on Prajñā Being Without Knowing; your talent operates with pristine brilliance, and the doctrinal substance is deep and balanced. Your investigation of the sacred texts arrives gracefully at its destination. I have unfolded and savoured it repeatedly, unable to lay it down; it can truly be said that you have bathed your mind in the abyss of the Vaipulya teachings and comprehended the realms beyond the dark and fathomless, exhausting the subtle and marvelous without leaving any flaw. However, for one as dull as I, it is difficult to comprehend, and some lingering doubts remain; I have now set them down in items below, hoping that in your moments of leisure you may briefly explain them for me.'
