林形長八尺，天姿瓌雅，登座震吼，談吐若流。後辭還高昌。齊永明五年卒，春秋七十有九。著〈二諦論〉及〈毘曇雜心記〉，并注《十二門論》、《中論》等。

Lin was eight feet tall, of extraordinarily refined bearing; mounting the seat he roared like thunder, his conversation flowing like a stream. Later he took leave to return to Gaochang. He died in the fifth year of the Yongming era of the Qi dynasty at the age of seventy-nine. He wrote the *Discourse on the Two Truths* (Erdi lun) and the *Notes on the Saṃyuktābhidharmahṛdaya* (Pi tan za xin ji), and annotated the *Dvādaśamukha-śāstra*, the *Mūlamadhyamakakārikā*, and other works.
