8.46

初基寢疾，弟子夢見梵僧數人，皆踞砌坐。問所從來，答云：「從大乘國來，奉迎基和上。」後數日而亡，因窆于法華山南。特進廬江何胤為造碑文於寶林寺，銘其遺德。

When Ji first fell ill, his disciples dreamt of several Indian monks sitting on the stone steps. When asked where they had come from, they replied: 'We have come from the realm of the Mahāyāna to welcome Upādhyāya Ji.' He passed away several days later, and was subsequently buried on the southern side of Mount Fahua. Specially Promoted He Yin of Lujiang composed a stele inscription for him at Baolin Temple, commemorating his bequeathed virtue.
