時治城又有僧若、道乘。乘當時令問，若與兄僧璿並善諸經及外書。若誦《法華》，工草隷，後為吳國僧正。乘亦志業明敏，而特善《毘曇》。

At that time Zhicheng Temple also had Sengruo and Daocheng. Cheng enjoyed a fine reputation at the time; Ruo, together with his elder brother Sengxuan, was proficient in various Buddhist scriptures and non-Buddhist texts. Ruo recited the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka and was skilled in cursive and clerical scripts; he later became the rector of the Saṅgha for the state of Wu. Cheng was also clear-sighted and nimble in his aspirations and studies, and was especially skilled in the Abhidharma.
