時太子石邃有二子在襄國。澄語邃曰：「小阿彌比當得疾，可往迎之。」邃即馳信往視，果已得病。大醫殷騰及外國道士自言能治，澄告弟子法雅曰：「正使聖人復出，不愈此病，況此等乎？」後三日果死。

At that time, Crown Prince Shi Sui had two sons in Xiangguo. Deng said to Sui: "Little A-mi will soon contract an illness; you should go and bring him here." Sui immediately dispatched a messenger to go and see, and indeed he was already ill. The imperial physician Yin Teng and a foreign monk claimed that they could cure him, but Deng told his disciple Faya: "Even if a sage were to appear again, he could not cure this illness, let alone these people!" Three days later, [the child] indeed died.
