虎於臨漳修治舊塔，少承露盤。澄曰：「臨淄城內有古阿育王塔，地中有承露盤及佛像，其上林木茂盛，可掘取之。」即畫圖與使。依言掘取，果得盤、像。

Hu was repairing an old stūpa in Linzhang and was lacking dew-receiving basins. Deng said: "Inside the city of Linzi there is an ancient King Aśoka stūpa; beneath the ground are dew-receiving basins and Buddha statues, overgrown with lush trees above; they may be dug up and retrieved." He immediately drew a diagram and gave it to an envoy. Digging according to his words, they indeed obtained the basins and statues.
