俄而梁犢作亂，明年虎死，冉閔篡殺，石種都盡。閔小字棘奴，澄先所謂「棘子成林」者也。

Shortly thereafter, Liang Du rebelled; the following year Shi Hu died, Ran Min usurped power and carried out slaughters, and the descendants of the Shi clan were completely extinguished. Min's childhood name was Jinu (Thorn Slave), which was what Fotudeng had earlier referred to as 'jujube thorns becoming a grove.'
