系曰：印沙床者何？通曰：「有道之士居山，必非寶器，疑其範築江沙，巧成坐榻歟？」照佛鑑者何？通曰：「即鑑燈耳。以其陸鴻漸貞元中多遊是山，述記記達師節儉而明心之調度也。」

The appraisal says: What is a sand-imprinted bed? The Commentator says: "When a person of the Way dwells in the mountains, they will certainly not possess precious vessels. One suspects that he pressed and compacted river sand to fashion an ingenious sitting couch, does he not?" What is a Buddha-reflecting mirror? The Commentator says: "It is simply a lamp mirror. Because Lu Hongjian frequently traveled in these mountains during the Zhenyuan era, he wrote an account recording Master Da's frugality and his utensils for illuminating the mind."
