後詔住資聖寺。此寺趙國公長孫無忌宅，龍朔二年為文德皇后追福造。長安七年，遭火蕩盡，唯於灰中，得數部經，不損一字。以事奏聞，百姓捨施，數日之間已盈鉅萬，遂再造其寺。

Later he was summoned by imperial decree to reside at Zisheng Temple. This temple was formerly the residence of the Duke of Zhao, Zhangsun Wuji, which had been built in the second year of Longshuo to cultivate posthumous merit for Empress Wende. In the seventh year of Chang'an, it was completely destroyed by fire; only from amidst the ashes several fascicles of sūtras were recovered, without a single character damaged. When this matter was memorialised to the throne, the common people made offerings, and within a few days the funds had reached tens of millions, whereupon the temple was rebuilt.
