5.19

近西明寺沙門護論。初誦法花。一卷纔了。即燒一指。至于八卷。便燒八指。此雖非都捨。亦是遺身之次耳。

Recently, the śramaṇa Hulun of Ximing Monastery, when first reciting the Lotus, had barely finished one roll when he burned one finger; arriving at eight rolls, he had burned eight fingers. Although this is not completely abandoning the body, it is nevertheless the next best thing to leaving behind the body.
