余甞見藏經。隋法經撰眾經目錄第六云。妙法蓮華經序一卷釋慧遠。出三藏記第十二卷云。妙法蓮華經序釋慧遠（云云）曾不載序文。蓋祥公依之乎。

I once examined the scriptural canon. The sixth fascicle of the Catalog of Scriptural Texts compiled by Fajing of the Sui says: 'Preface to the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka-sūtra, one fascicle, by the monk Huiyuan.' Fascicle twelve of the Chu sanzang ji ji says: 'Preface to the Saddharmapuṇḍarīka-sūtra, by the monk Huiyuan,' and so forth, yet it did not record the text of the preface. Perhaps Master Xiang relied on this?
