釋緣光。是智者門人。誦法華經為業。感天帝下迎龍宮請講。滅後舌色如紅蓮華而已。
Shi Yuanguang was a disciple of the Wise One [Zhiyi]. He took reciting the Lotus Sūtra as his vocation. He evoked the Lord of the Devas to descend to welcome him, and the dragon palace to invite him to lecture. After his passing, his tongue was simply the colour of a red lotus flower.
