尼大明㳂州人也。遇綽禪師講無量壽經。教念佛業。尼念時。先著淨衣。口含沈香。靜室課誦。三四年間相續不斷。臨終之時。眾覩光明。內聞沈水。香氣來迎。於此而終。

The nun Daming was a native of Yanzhou. She encountered Dhyāna Master Daochuo lecturing on the Sukhāvatīvyūha Sūtra, who taught the practice of buddhamanasikāra. When the nun recited, she would first put on clean clothes, hold agarwood in her mouth, and recite her daily practice in a quiet room, continuing uninterrupted for three or four years. At the time of her end, the assembly beheld radiance, and from within smelled aloeswood fragrance arriving to welcome her. She died at this time.
