荀氏發心念佛。至滿二年。有僧見七寶池中蓮花。白佛言。折一枝將與女子。莫有罪否。言訖。所見之境並皆散失。捨壽之日。異香來迎而往生淨土。

Lady Xun aroused the resolve to be mindful of the Buddha, reaching a full two years. A monk saw a lotus flower in the pond of seven jewels and said to the Buddha: 'If I snap off a stalk to give to the woman, will there be any fault?' When he finished speaking, the vision he had seen completely vanished. On the day she abandoned her lifespan, a miraculous fragrance came to welcome her, and she was reborn in the Pure Land.
