贊曰。財食不貪。廉潔心也。坐臥不苟。敬慎心也。衣鉢不離。持重心也。布薩垂泣。誠信心也。四心皆淨因。宜其往生矣。至於誨人。則西方淨業。與一乘圓教並施。恩其深入念佛法門者乎。

In praise: Not coveting wealth and food is a mind of incorruptibility and purity. Not acting carelessly in sitting or lying down is a mind of reverence and prudence. Not parting from robe and bowl is a mind of solemn adherence. Shedding tears during the poṣadha is a mind of sincere faith. These four minds are all pure causes, so it was fitting that he should attain rebirth! As for instructing others, he bestowed both the pure karma of the Western Direction and the perfect teaching of the Ekayāna together.
