宋慧明。號晦菴。學於慧光。晚依蓄山常照寺。修淨業。日課法華楞嚴圓覺。持彌陀聖號萬數。慶元己未春示疾。謂弟子曰。吾學大乘。求生淨土。今果遂矣。累足坐逝。眾聞天樂西來。徘徊頂上。荼毘五色舍利無數。

Huiming of the Song, styled Hui'an, studied under Huiguang. In his later years, he relied on Changzhao Temple on Xushan to cultivate pure karma. His daily curriculum was the Lotus Sūtra, Śūraṅgama Sūtra, and Perfect Enlightenment Sūtra, and he maintained Amitābha's sacred name tens of thousands of times. In the spring of the jiwei year of the Qingyuan reign era, he manifested illness. He said to his disciples: "I have studied the Mahāyāna and sought rebirth in the Pure Land; today, it is indeed fulfilled." Folding his legs, he passed away while seated. The assembly heard heavenly music coming from the west, lingering above his crown. After cremation, there were countless five-colored relics.
