宋師贊。雍州人。為僧童。年十四。念佛不絕。忽遇疾暴亡。俄而復甦。謂師及父母曰。阿彌陀佛來此。兒當隨行。隣人見空中寶臺。五色異光。向西而沒。

Shizan of the Song was a native of Yongzhou. He was a novice boy, fourteen years of age, who practiced buddhamanasikāra without ceasing. He suddenly contracted an illness and died abruptly. Shortly afterward he revived, saying to his master and parents: "Amitābha Buddha has come here; your boy must follow along." Neighbors saw a jeweled dais and extraordinary five-colored light in the air, disappearing toward the west.
