Yuanjing of the Song was a native of Hangzhou. At twelve he underwent pravrajyā, and later resided at Longjing Temple. The worthy men of his time, such as Lord Zhao Qingxian and Lord Su Wenzhong, all held him in high esteem. When he was about to die, he entered the Fangyuan Hermitage and said to people, “If I have seven days without hindrances, my vow will be fulfilled.” On the seventh day, he produced a verse to show the assembly, and passed away in an auspicious manner.
